I will never tire of Sarah Connor. I've loved that character for over 20 years already.

Adds **love** for Sarah. I always thought she was cool, but this show has taken my adoration to a whole new level! It may have been over all too soon, but they wrote us an amazing Sarah and Lena *speechless* Lena just rocks my socks.

I have partial fic of my own that I want to finish.

*prods* Finish it! These characters are all ours now!

What makes it all so cool now is I actually have people I can share that with.

This fandom may be relatively small, but it is awesome :-)

Kudos to everything you said [livejournal.com profile] cj2017. I have very good friends that I've made through this fandom and we're all propping each other up now and giving shoulders to lean on, along with all the RL stuff we're dealing with as well. FOX can't take that away!

I have unfinished fan fic as well, as well as some finished stuff that I'd post if I get the guts to do it. I'm a shy writer. :D

This fandom may be relatively small, but it is awesome :-).

Agreed! Awesome, passionate, intelligent, and a zillion other positive adjectives that come to mind. Everything FOX is not - lol!

Don't be shy about fanfic. We need more Sarah stories! My biggest problem is I write scenes and then don't know what to do with them. I suck at building plot. That's why I only have one reasonable length fic posted and the others are just little quickie ficlets. My unfinished one has the start of a plot, though, and I think that's what intimidates me about it. Anyway, when you do get around to posting what you've got and writing more, I'll be excited to read it :)

Y'all should post your fics, we need more fic!

I struggle with the future stuff, Born to Run just didn't make me want to go and play out there. It did make me want to take one or both of the Reese boys back to Sarah and play out there though... *g* I guess the nice thing about the finale was that it left an awful lot of avenues to explore, whichever character(s) you prefer writing for. Course, there's no rule saying you have to play in the show's universe at all, fic is all about making up your own tangents...

Oh oh oh - I don't think I told you about k8ie saving Born To Run for me! Go read her post at SCS (http://tsccsociety.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=nonspoil&action=display&thread=1426&page=41). She had a revelation about why Sarah let John go and it works. It fucking works! It doesn't fix everything, but I can make peace with that finale now. Go read it!

Okay this is a little funny. I was just lurking at the wiki (I violated the mantra, I know) and there's a thread about "who's changed their mind about the finale?" The consensus now seems to be that the finale sucked since it ended up being a series finale. No shit. I was amused by that. Okay, but seriously, go read k8ie's post at SCS in the BTR thread. You'll feel better.

I did read it. I really loved the idea. Then it kinda made me sad, cos it meant that somewhere along the way Sarah either died or failed miserably.

My only problem - playing Devil's advocate - with the theory is that I wonder if Sarah is really so sure of her ability to change everything. So absolutely sure that she would allow John to jump into the future because she's absolutely convinced that she will manage to stop JD. I know Sarah's all for the mission, and she is utterly determined. But the path to JD seems to roll inexorably along no matter what they do and that fact must play at the back of her mind - "aside from the fact the world's about to end..."

Things are closing in, time is running out, everyone she trusts is gone, and she may or may not be sick. Her odds right there and then aren't good. I love that she doesn't falter in her single-mindedness to change John's fate, but I'm not totally convinced that she's convinced she will ultimately succeed. Not enough to allow John that jump without putting up a fight.

Having said that... I do love K8ie's theory: Sarah's right there, with the choice in front of her and no time for her to think it through or second guess herself. Go John, I'll stop it. Wherever you end up, I will have stopped it. You'll be safe.

It's so simple and so lovely and so very Sarah.

How strange would it have been had John jumped forward into a utopia?! "Hey, mom did a damn good job!"
