You know what really kicked me in the gut is that Fox chose the declining ratings of Dollhouse over the stable ratings of TSCC. And on top of that, they replaced TSCC with fucking sitcoms. SITCOMS. It's beyond comprehension.
Well, not beyond comprehension, just incredibly disillusioning. Sitcoms have much higher ratings because anyone can just sit down and watch one at any time, and even if there IS some kind of overarching plot you can just watch it and laugh. They do great in reruns.
It makes sense. That doesn't make it hurt any less.
All sadly true. But Friday night is one of the worst for casual viewing (people in the key demographic go out and party instead), so wouldn't that make it a terrible night for sitcoms?
Yeah. I mean, I like Dollhouse, but it doesn't make much sense to keep that and ditch TSCC. Unless they're hoping that, like some previous Whedon series, it'll start out little-known but grow more popular later.
SITCOMS? Oh, for fuck's sake! Yeah, that's a real great lead-in for your show that's a scifi allegory for human trafficking, FOX. Dumbasses.
