Why am I always late to the party when there's something exciting going down? When I hopped on twitter today, I was about an hour behind the news that Syfy had picked up the rights to air all 31 existing episodes of The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Yay!

It just means they'll be airing the reruns, but hey, that's something. My little fangirl brain is doing exactly what everyone else's is doing today. It's thinking this is a step — a real step toward the possibility of more TSCC down the road. I encounter new fans all the time since the show's been available on Netflix, so airing them on Syfy will certainly bring more into the fold.

Sarah Connor back on TV, even in reruns, makes me happy happy happy. My afternoon has been filled with IMs, tweets and posts all over the place, sharing in the joy of this news. If you're even later to the party than I was, allow me to link you up:

That sort of gives you incentive to start up a certain podcast all over again doesn't it? ;P

Yeah I was waiting for you to post something and when you didn't I was like ... "Well I guess I will."

I think alot of people are late in the game in reacting, or my posts are ignored.

either way new fans and syndication will help Middleton and BAG with their cause. Plus as you know Zach and Ash have been ploting silently.

Also with Lena on the most anticipated show in years I'm guessing something good could come from all of this.

Here's hoping!

Yeah the podcasting has been MIA lately. You'd think schmacky had a real life or something. Well get back to them before long.

Also with Lena on the most anticipated show in years I'm guessing something good could come from all of this.

It certainly helps. If people love her in Game of Thrones and never saw TSCC, they may seek it out. I'd never heard of Lena until TSCC and was so impressed with her Sarah Connor that I backtracked to a lot of her past work.

wow ...

I'm not sure if that thing about schmacky was backhanded or not.

it was just a fun poke that's all.

LOL. No no no. It was a joke. I just meant she has a real life so fandom can't always be the priority.

When I heard this my face almost made an expression! -_-

Not a return just a rerun, well I hope it does well enough to peak some interest again.

It'll peak interest for sure. Ever since it became available on Netflix, I've seen new fans show up in the savethescc chatroom for viewing parties — people new to the series looking for fellow fans to talk TSCC with. Once it hits Syfy, I expect there will be more new fans.

We know a movie would make money for WB and they know it too. If the rights hadn't gotten all tangled up from Halcyon's financial mess, we would've already gotten one (or it would at least already be in the works). So here's hoping Syfy will nab some good ratings from this that shows WB it's worth it to deal with the rights hassles and make more!

If you do want to write to Syfy, there are addresses and stuff here (http://www.savethescc.com/postcard-campaign/) from when we did postcard and letter writing campaigns a while back.

BTW, did you know we're planning a TSCC con? I don't think I've posted anything on LJ since it's not official yet, but I think we're only a few weeks away from being able to make a real announcement. It'll be May 2012 in the Los Angeles area. When I finally do a post about it, I'll have the specifics.
