It'll peak interest for sure. Ever since it became available on Netflix, I've seen new fans show up in the savethescc chatroom for viewing parties — people new to the series looking for fellow fans to talk TSCC with. Once it hits Syfy, I expect there will be more new fans.
We know a movie would make money for WB and they know it too. If the rights hadn't gotten all tangled up from Halcyon's financial mess, we would've already gotten one (or it would at least already be in the works). So here's hoping Syfy will nab some good ratings from this that shows WB it's worth it to deal with the rights hassles and make more!
