If I could only listen to one song for the rest of my life, it would be "December 1963 (Oh What a Night)" by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons (that link will autoplay, BTW). The lyrics are completely irrelevant (a guy losing his virginity with a woman he doesn't know); I just love the sound of it and it always makes me happy. It's been my go-to feel-good song forever.

My mom used to store all her old records in my closet when I was a kid and she'd been a huge Frankie Valli fan. Before I had many records of my own, I used to play hers. I guess I must have I played that song a lot because it's just stuck with me.

So... One song forever. What would yours be?

It sounds like you had a good night. :)

Unfortunately, I can't think of a song I love quite that much.

Now I'm going to have to go sample those songs because I don't even know any of them.

You should, great songs... But I don't know if it's the kind of music you'd like.

Hey Jude by the Beatles for much the same reason you describe.

Ah, one of the handful of Beatles songs I actually really like!

Meanwhile, I just checked my iTunes library and I have 148 Beatles songs. I'm listening to hey Jude right now.

I can't physically listen to one song forever....so, I grabbed the most played and highest rated in my iTunes.

I'm curious now, but I couldn't even find that on iTunes to hear what it sounds like. BTW - Where did you go?

Jimi Hendrix? Really? Then again, I find Jimi Hendrix a bit annoying. I can appreciate him, but I don't really enjoy his music.

Well, what do say say about stuff like this... "There's no accounting about taste," or something like that. "Electric Ladyland" was... 'formative', for me. That's all. :D

Haha. This is my problem with music. I love so many different types, yet the songs I end up playing over and over and over again are the catchy, lightweight pop songs. I can't help myself. Do I earn any points for having been a Deadhead before and actually caring about the quality of what I listened to?

LOL!!! You definitely get points for trying! I was never into the GD myself, actually (I'm more of a heavy metal kinda gal.) :) I too love all sorts of music, though, and I mostly listen to classical music whenever I have time.
