(Tack raises hands in the air). The party town committee has put out a request for volunteers to make calls on behalf of our gubenatorial candidate. Since I'm not able to contribute money, I have to do *something* to help the party.
The calls usually piss me off too, especially this early. What I *really* hate, are the freaking ROBO calls. I usually only do the final "get out the vote" calling, and only in my own town.
Given that I sleep days, I'm pretty sure I'd verbally bite the head off anyone who woke me up with a phone call to schill some political candidate. Luckily they don't seem to have my number.
(I see that I'm not the only one whose old posts got attacked by spambots pretending to be Harry Potter fans trying to steal identities for the Russian mafia. Damned obnoxious, isn't it? I don't even read Harry Potter!)
