Because nothing says xmas like guns & pancakes

I made... a Sarah Connor Chronicles Christmas tree. Why? Well, I had this metal tree, see. Metal. It's actually a very old tree (40+ years old, I think). It belonged to my grandmother and my mom gave it to me when I first moved away from home. I used it for a few years because it's unique and because it held such fond memories for me, but I've had it boxed up on a shelf in my basement for years now.

After setting up my normal Christmas tree this year, that little old aluminum tree popped into my head for some reason. And since I'm a big freaking dork for TSCC, I naturally put "metal tree" and "Sarah Connor" together (it was a eureka moment in the nerdiest possible way). So I set about making little TSCC-themed ornaments from poster board, construction paper, aluminum foil and various odds and ends around my house.

Merry Christmas TSCC fans!

What you'll find on the tree:

- HK/drone
- savethescc stickers
- bullets & shotgun shells
- a turtle (Sarah's dreams)
- one of Savannah's duckings (Chicky, Fluffy or Feathers, take your pick!)
- shotgun
- Glock
- endo head (based on my pumpkin carving pattern)
- the Turk
- Wizard of Oz book
- nuclear missile (Ok, so it's just a generic GI Joe missile, but you can pretend it's nuclear, right?)
- 2 multi-sided dice (I didn't have a 20-sided die, sadly)
- Cameron's chip (it's one of the flash drives)
- Presidio Alto emblem
- block of C4 w/timer
- drum of radioactive waste from Serrano Point
- queen chess piece
- Andy Goode's Kramnik vs Deep Fritz poster
- the Polaroid of Sarah
- pancakes
- notebook paper w/3 dots
- shard of aluminum from a soda can
- a terminator endoskeleton

I think that's everything.

HAHHAHA Roxy you are EPIC!! Just hope that Sarah doesn't find out and destroy you ~metal Tree. She's not a huge fan of the stuff.

*contemplates how she can turn her tree into a Seeker tree....*

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
METAL!!!!!!!!! Hee. Yeah, Sarah's not to fond of the metal. Neither is my cat, apparently; he already knocked the metal tree over!

Seeker tree... LOL. Maybe this will be the new thing in fandom: themed Christmas trees :D

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
You're going to have to get up pretty early to beat Jo. She's quick.

OOOOOOOOOOooooooo a mobile! I love that idea :D

[identity profile] sabaceanbabe.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 03:00 pm (UTC)(link)
That rocks, even if my stupid browser isn't loading the frakking pics.

Merry Christmas to you and the man!

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. Merry Christmas to you and your man too!

O. M. G.!

That is THE most AWESOME tree EVER!

Pancakes! (I hope there's no vanilla.) The Turk. Chips. and Ducks.

Win!

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you :) Who knew TSCC could be so festive? And there's definitely no vanilla in those pancakes. They actually turned out pretty good considering there was no recipe :P

[identity profile] starkiller-2011.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
You have the picture of Sarah and the dog in the jeep!

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
No respectable TSCC Christmas tree would be without a Sarah polaroid ;)

That's - that's - insane...
*is amused*

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
It totally is insane. You should be glad [livejournal.com profile] cj2017 sticks to fic writing ;)

[identity profile] cj2017.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, cos we never do anything fandom-crazy *hides Lena Birthday card and evidence of Bug!Slug/Weevil cakes* ;-)

The tree is truly magnificent. I think I love the tiny but perfect Wizard of Oz the most. The fact that you have tied ribbons around your guns is slightly concerning however...

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
How could I forget about TSCC-themed birthday cakes?!

Sometimes I think your nerdiness rivals mine.

[identity profile] cj2017.livejournal.com 2010-12-24 12:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I would like to think so ;-) I'm betting not many people got a fic-inspired mac and cheese birthday cake this year *g*

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, guns under the tree was the man's idea (rest assured, they're all locked up safe and sound again). I love how much he accepts the insanity of my Sarah Connor fandom.

[identity profile] cruelnovember.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
There are no words for how much I adore this particular brand of craziness. :D The Turk! Cameron's chip! The pancakes.

I am in awe. ♥

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Who even needs words when you can make TSCC ornaments? Maybe I should patent this brand of craziness? LOL.

This show ate my brain.

Re: One word.

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Great word :D

[identity profile] gega-cai.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Merry Christmas!

*sticks a delicious PB&J sandwich under the tree for all TSCC fans*

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay for a gift of PB&J!

[identity profile] ageless-aislynn.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Now THAT is one awesome tree! *applause* I love it! ♥!

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you. This tree makes me exceedingly happy :)

[identity profile] fig-aruna.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I am so happy you exist!

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
My love of Sarah Connor will never die!

Very cool, very cool :)

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-26 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you and merry Christmas :)

[identity profile] panicxontherise.livejournal.com 2010-12-24 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
This is amazing! Seriously, I want this so bad xD
TSCC forever♥

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-26 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
I don't blame you. I'm sad it's just for Christmas! I think I'll set it up again next year and make more ornaments for it :)

[identity profile] panicxontherise.livejournal.com 2010-12-26 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes that would be awesome!

[identity profile] the-narration.livejournal.com 2010-12-24 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
LOL! That's awesome! What a great use for one of those old aluminum Christmas trees.

Have a Merry Christmas!

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-26 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
I know. It's so perfect for a TSCC-themed tree! Merry Christmas to you too, TN :)

you are TOO frakking creative....shut up.

Re: xmas tree tscc

It's all Sarah Connor's fault.

You made my day. Well, you, your tree and the awesome Christmas Eve feast that the woman orchestrated for my family.

Merry Christmas to you, the man, and the kitteh, from us, the freshly washed water-dog, and the evil bunny.

A holiday filled with tasty foods and fandom fun is the best holiday there is :)

Merry Christmas to you and yours, tack.

[identity profile] trystanknight.livejournal.com 2010-12-26 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
Fantastic as always Roxy. I'm doing a blu-ray re-watch this holiday season too, so it's been on my mind.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, it's been a joy getting to know you and our mutual patho-obsession with TSCC over the past few years. Enjoy your holiday!

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-26 08:20 am (UTC)(link)
\o/ \o/ \o/
Three cheers for a rewatch!

Merry Christmas to you too. I can't even express how nice it is to have so many TSCC friends to share this kind of silly fandom stuff with. I love you guys :)

O Tannen-john-baum!

[identity profile] loganwaters.livejournal.com 2010-12-26 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Great job, as usual!

(Where on earth does one obtain an actual polaroid of SC and the shepherd? I stand in awe of your resourcefulness!)

So you're assuming that the tree is in fact *not* from The Future?

I mean, a Bubble Tech could have covered the branches and needles with live anchovies, and...

:-)

Re: O Tannen-john-baum!

[identity profile] roxybisquaint.livejournal.com 2010-12-29 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
^ Your subject line is total win!

It's not a real polaroid. I printed out a screen shot of it, cut out the image and glued it to a large piece of poster board to simulate the picture ;)

So you're assuming that the tree is in fact *not* from The Future? I mean, a Bubble Tech could have covered the branches and needles with live anchovies, and...

LOL. I... haven't considered that possibility.
