Being the slacker that I am, I have yet to pimp the new GnothiSeauton.com podcasts that schmacky kicked off several weeks ago. Typically, these are casual fan discussions on a particular TSCC topic, but the latest one is an interview with writer Zack Stenz. You should check it out:

Note: If that link doesn't work, just go to iTunes and search for Gnothi Seauton podcast and you'll find it. Schmacky had to make a change to the iTunes feed and it's still being processed.

Yeah it was fun. I wish Skype hadn't been so difficult, though. it made the interview less interactive than I wished it had been. On the upside, hearing it back was like hearing it for the first time ;)

I enjoyed both podcasts.. with Zack and the one that isn't up yet. You were great to have on there, very enjoyable.

I keep telling Schmacky I'd E-mail, but we keep geting into it elsewhere and I'm not sure if it would be a good idea ...

I would love to jump in on the awesome discussions, but wouldn't like to get a dressing down if the idea isn't agreed with.

...

But,I'll do it anyway.

We're not doing hardcore debate in these podcasts, so the discussion has always stayed friendly. But it's impossible to have a discussion on a specific topic without running into some differences of opinion and it would be boring if no one countered an opinion they disagreed with. So if you ever do join in on one, you should expect that.

Don't do it as a joke, though (you've told me before that you never take discussion of the show seriously). While we do have fun with these and try to keep the tone fairly light, we approach topics in a genuine manner.

If you've listened to the podcasts you can get a good idea of how we run things on Gnothi Seauton. Very casual, very friendly though at times we do disagree.

Like Roxy said, we are genuine in our discussions and take the topics seriously within the realm of the universe it's in.

We cannot guarantee that people will not disagree with you. That, of course, makes discussion fun when people have different views. We just ask that everyone keeps it civil and if that particular discussion continues to ping-pong, we'll just move on to the next subject within that topic.

So, like I said, if you'd like to join the podcasts you are more than welcome to participate. I am not going to put out a specific invitation to you, so you need to email the website after we've posted the next topic and move from there.

I'm simply talking about E-Mailing not being a guest on it ...

I'm not sure if it'll be a good Idea seeing as how you seem to take disagreement a little strongly ... see the Sarah and John joint room issue on the wiki currently.

But like I said I'll E-Mail anyway ... Just don't look foward to being dressed down on air.

Again, this is a classic misunderstanding between the two of us. I disagree with you, I have no problem telling you I disagree with you, but that doesn't mean it's heated or a bad thing. We disagree, it's good for the soul.

And I'm not really sure what you are wanting to do with these emails. We don't take emails from beforehand and discuss them. The 4-5 people that are ON the podcasts will be the ones discussing. You're more than welcome to comment on the podcast after it's been posted and give your opinion. But we will not be integrating emails in within the podcast. Just get yourself a mic and join the discussion yourself.

I don't mind people disagreeing with me ... as long as I'm not dressed down like some people tend to do because they don't like what was said.

I'm a little confused as too why you asked for people to e-mail in then?

actually I do have a mike built in my computer ... I just don't know how to use it.

Huh? I ask people to email me a short answer to the topic (in other words, their opinion in short version) with times and days they're available to record. That's why people email in. To join the podcast.

How do you not know how to use an internal mic? You just... speak.

Dude, you're wrong about the one-bedroom thing. You need to give it up. I know you won't, though, so before I waste time proving you wrong, let me know if you're just fucking with everyone or if you're being serious.

First of all I'm being serious ...

second I can't give it up because I staked my life on it ... therefore I can't.

I maybe wrong ... but I still don't see it.

and for some reason people think that I'm implying John and Sarah are having sex ... I'm just saying that they don't have the money to afford a good house.

and please tell me you arn't actually frustraited with something that trival?

No, I just wanted to give you a chance to back out in case you were kidding. I'll put together a simple house layout and screenshots to show you. In the meantime, you should be a little more careful about what you stake your life on!

I alway thought it would be Fig_Aruna who was going to kill me ...

but not you ... Never you!

But, I think I found a loop hole in this, but till then I still say Sarah and John shared a room back in New Mexico.

Okay, I have a diagram for you: New Mexico house layout (http://pics.livejournal.com/roxybisquaint/pic/000cb5s9)

Like the other Connor house layouts, I've done, there's some guesswork (obviously) because I can only draw what's visible and what I can deduce. For example, I took a total guess at the door that leads from the garage to the house because there was a hallway there and it was a logical spot for such a door to be. I also have no idea if the spot I've got labeled as basement stairs is actually the basement stairs, but there's a door there and it seemed like a logical spot for basement stairs.

On the other side of the living room, there are four doors. From right to left, I've got those as hall closet, John's room, Sarah's room, bathroom. Because of the size/space available, hall closet really can't be anything other than a closet. Next is John's room, so there's no guesswork there. Now comes the stuff in question: Sarah's room and the bathroom.

I could have the doors to Sarah's room and the bathroom mixed up since we really don't know. But if I swapped those, the resulting rearrangement of walls to divide Sarah's room and the bedroom would make for a very funky (and unlikely) layout. So I think what I've chosen as her room is the most plausible.

Notice the turn you have to make inside her doorway to get to the main part of her room. I think that's where you've been confused:

Close-up on break-away wall (http://pics.livejournal.com/roxybisquaint/pic/000ccrck)

When Cameron and Cromartie are fighting, he throws her through the back of the kitchen pantry and into the kitchen, then back across the living room, through the half-wall (right of the couch). From there, they crash through Sarah's door, through that corner wall inside Sarah's doorway (marked with the red dotted line) and into John's room. That's why it seems like there are two doors to John's room.

Make sense now?

I have never seen anyone go to such lengths to disprove me since I had a case where a man litterly photo shopped pictures of his sister's face over the other girl's when they were walking down the street together. This was in the vein attempt to discredit my findings to his girlfriend ... by saying I was photo shoping his other girlfriends faces over his sisters.

Oh frat rats ...

But anyway you've done an amazing job with this outlay of the house. A little geeky and obsessive mind you ... but it's cool.

>.> <.<

and now that you mention it ... it is kind of funny that Sarah has a poster of a rock band on her wall ...

But!

this doesn't prove that John and Sarah arn't sharing a room!

This is due to the fact that If you look closely ... there is nothing in Sarah's room.

No Bed, no personal items, nothing but a rock band poster and two onery cyborgs fighting.

So there you have it ... I'm still saying that John and Sarah are sharing one bedroom.

Devil is in the details girlies ...

Phantom lives to see another day!

I think you missed the point that it's not Sarah's room Cameron and Cromartie fell into lol

Cameron and Cromartie went through Sarah's door and her WALL and went into John's room. We never saw the main space of Sarah's room...

The poster was in John's room (the wall that was shared between his room and the entrance to Sarah's room)

LOL. Hey, you forced me into this.

I can't even believe you're going to try to throw details at me to refute anything after I just studied the house making that diagram...

You're wrong about the poster. That "Iron Metal" poster is on John's wall. It's on the break-away wall (red-dotted line wall) that Cameron and Cromartie crash through. Specifically, it would be the part of that wall that would be to your left if you were facing John's closet.

As for Sarah's furnishings, well, we never actually see the inside of her room, so you can't say she has none.but since there's furniture in every room we do see, it would be silly to think her bedroom is unfurnished.

And you call yourself a detective? :P

BAG speaks re S3...

Thanks, Roxy!

BTW, in case you guys haven't seen this, our friend (and SCC fan!) BAG discussed his understanding of what was planned for S3 with TV Guide...

"Yeah, a lot of the next season was going to take place in the future, it was going to be in the desert and the tunnels in a manner similar to what the latest film was. And since it's a future where John Connor doesn't exist, the main thrust of the story would have seen him starting at the bottom and becoming the iconic John Connor that everybody knows."

I have seen that interview with BAG. There's also a recent one with producer John Wirth (about The Cape) in which he talks a bit about TSCC season 3 as well. It's nice to get these little tidbits, but it always saddens me that there is never any info about what the present-day storyline might've been like.
